Roberto Barbanti

Completed studies in philosophy at the University of Florence (Italy) and computer music, electroacoustic music and experimental composition at Luigi Cherubini Conservatory of the same city. He holds a PhD in "Art and Science of Art" at the University of Paris I (Panthéon- Sorbonne). Professor Emeritus at the Visual Arts Department (UFR I) of the University of Paris 8 Vincennes-Saint-Denis, France. Cofounder and coeditor of the journal Sonorités (2006-2017). His research topics include the relationship between technosphere, biosphere and semiosphere in contemporary art; the issue of complexity and ecosophy in contemporary art; the sound ecology and sound dimension of the landscape.
